Warning! Whispers of Love Yaoi Manga eBook Puku Okuyama
I really enjoyed this manga. I liked the idea that a mistaken first impression can be hard but not impossible to fix (although I think I would have enjoyed the story more if that theme had been better developed). The ear obsession is pretty silly, but the author used it to make some hilarious sex metaphors that had me laughing out loud. The art is super cute and the one long and three short stories are very sweet and fluffy. The reason I took off one star is that the main story especially felt a little bit unfinished somehow, like maybe it needed at least one more concluding chapter to wrap things up. Also, [SPOILER TO FOLLOW] the author built up so much tension around the ear cleaning, then it never actually happened, which was weirdly disappointing...Summary: Upperclassman Nagura spots freshman Hajime at the school year's opening ceremony and instantly develops a crush on the younger student. He tries to find a way to introduce himself, but what pops out of his mouth is his strange desire to clean the other boy's ears! Intimidated by his senpai's attention, Hajime can only think to run away, and that begins a chase that continues every time Nagura spots him. As time goes on, though, Hajime starts to see that Nagura is a pretty nice guy, and maybe being caught by him really wouldn't be so bad.

Warning! Whispers of Love Yaoi Manga eBook Puku Okuyama Reviews
I have read better m/m romance mangas.
The only thing that I remember from ANY of the stories within this collection is that the main story is about two high school students, and one of the guys has this weird obsession with cleaning people's ears. Like, he literally goes around with q-tips and cleans peoples ears... And a good portion of the first story is spent with him chasing the other main love interest trying to clean is ears.
Other than that, the stories didn't stand out. However, if you are somewhat picky about the art styles, the cover for this book is indicative of the art style within and I loved it . It was bouncy and fluid and there wasn't too much cluttering the pages.
The couple were adorable! Its such a good read that I wanted more.
I love puku's books. Comical and sweeeeet. A little ear cleaning fetish. Made me giggle. This isn't a hard core or sex filled Yaoi. Its just a light love between boys. I look forward to more books from this artist. Also recommending. Rules of standing on tip toes. Super cute.
This is so cute and hilarious. Such a adorable read about high school boys. Definitely recommended. I love the main couple but the other couples are good too.
I'll be honest, this one was pretty weird. The main characters talk about cleaning ears for most of the story. It was pretty dumb, but still fun to read. The characters start off chasing each other around campus, but end up dating? It made me laugh a lot, if nothing else. There are four couples that this book follows. There were no particularly sad or worrying moments in the main story; one of them, Behind the Lens, dealt with bullying. Other than that, they were all pretty lighthearted.
The artwork was nice. Very similar to what you see on the cover all throughout. Similar to the artist's other work too.
I really enjoyed reading this, even if the main story was so odd at first.
This was so cute, fluffy, and funny it will give you cavities. I can officially add Puku Okuyama on my list of "read everything this author publishes". 65% of the volume is the main story and then it has three shorter stories. They are all adorable. My only complain is that I wish this was a little higher on the rating scale. Some smut would have been nice. But I always want smut P
I got this for and read it on an iPad. Its transition from print to digital is not very good. Pages were reduced in size and resolution was low which I'm still trying to figure out why do the publishers do this. I would assume the was intuitive and will re-size larger images to fit smaller screens, but smaller images don't do well in larger screens. Graphics 101. But don't quote me on that. If not for the technical difficulties I'd give this 5 stars.
Warning! Whispers of Love is overall a good investment for those interested in Boys Love and okay with volumes in their collection that don't feature any actual sex. The art is nice, the characters are all interesting, and the scenarios are well thought out.
I'd say the biggest downside is that the product information does not include that there are other (shorter) stories in the 200 page book. All of the shorter stories were great but when I got to the end of the main story 'Warning! Whispers of Love' it felt unfinished. It was an ending I could see as a "they live happily ever after, the end" but also an ending I could see as the cliffhanger you put at the end of a volume to get the readers to pick up book 2.
All of the other short stories had great premises, dynamics, and settings and I would have liked to see them in features that were at least as long as the main story.
Overall the book has that happy feel good emotion wrapped up into it without feeling like the stories or plots were aimless.
TL;DR- it is a good pick up for a light hearted feel good shonen-ai with characters you will wish to see more of but it isn't technically a yaoi as it has no actual sex.
